Hi Budapest,

The whole kitchen used one whole slab as we didn’t want joins. The total size of the stone is 1500mm wide x 3000mm length. The kitchen bench is 600mm deep which makes our island bench 900mm deep.

The only thing I’d say having been in our kitchen for years now, is I would have more space to the right side of our cooktop and put another powerpoint like how it is on the left of it. It’s because it’s a bit awkward with that little space on the right and also you could have for example a slow cooker on the left and a chip cooker on the right and the rangehood that we have would have handled the steam and oil and stuff both ends no worries.
Could have done it in this case by switching the cooktop with the sink. And switch everything else with them. Or if budget permits, get a longer slab.
Otherwise, we are happy with it. No sink on the island is a massive tick. No overhead cupboards is also our thing.

Yeah, that’s what I mean. That’s a 120mm gap. Yeah I think 300mm should be fine. It really depends on what suits you the best. For us as we don’t have a longer bench, we could have just switched the sink and the cooktop.
