We also had a 1cm chip out of the edge of a benchtop and contacted Peter Fikus from In Stone Design (his contact details are on the caeserstone website) to fix it and advise on the cleaning issue. Peter came out and confirmed that the shiny areas were actually a patina of wax/grease/grime that could be removed by use of caeserstone's creme cleanser and cleaned a section. Wife now happy that the satin finish is the way it's meant to look and we cleaned the rest of the benchtops to a consistent satin appearance. Peter also spent a couple of hours fixing the chip and we are very pleased with the result - quite difficult to pick where the repair is. His price was reasonable for the time involved.
