Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Show me your kitchen... 2401Aug 20, 2013 1:46 pm Hi has anyone got any ideas on a splashback for me - I am new to the forum thing so bare with me. We are in the process of building our house, the kitchen goes in on Friday and I am still really undecided with the splash backs - my kitchen colours are : benchtop = Laminex Diamond Gloss in White Valencia, Cupboards = Formica Snowdrift in gloss, Kickboards = Formica Brushed Aluminium and we are having bamboo floors in natural. I am thinking of going the clear glass splashback (which I know will give off a bluish tinge) with a pearl white behind - this gives off a bit of a sparkle too? Has anyone done anything similar or seen anything similar? Any photos would be helpful. Thanks very much! Re: Show me your kitchen... 2402Aug 21, 2013 12:32 pm Nonna bahahha! Thanks. We actually will have a void above our kitchen area with a large modern chandelier above it.... Hubby quite enjoys a splash of colour. And is all for not being "normal". Considering I won't be moving from this house anytime in the next 10 years- I'm happy to have a hot pink splash back. Thanks for the love. <3 since there is no smilie that genuflects I will just pray to your kitchen. My wife she hates colors that are not black white and grey. But of all the colors she hates....pink is on the top of her list and I LOVE IT. One day i shall post a pic of my desk at work. It is pink on pink on pink. As I type this I am in pink sweats with a pink tshirt in bed sick sipping on my pink sippy cup ( I don't know why they don't make adult cups that are non spill/ drip. They are my secret weapon for when im ill in bed) I cant wait to see the chandelier. Decorate your home. It gives the illusion that your life is more interesting than it really is. Hi, from somewhere else I've read on the forum, the clear glass splashback gives a greenish cast, not blue. But perhaps someone else can confirm this? Pink or Glitter. We had a Kris Kringle last year and whoever got me bought me a massive box of chocolates i couldnt eat and half my office pretty much when why didnt they just get you pink something. I am currently looking for a custom chandelier for over the stairs but I have no idea where is reputable. I'd like either custom or something vintage. The house theme is going towards French Provincial/ Victorian. If you have any ideas. We have currently plans for 10 of them in the house at the moment. Decorate your home. Are you in Victoria? If so, two places I can recommend: http://www.lightslightslights.com.au These guys have both contemporary chandeliers and traditional. The service is the best we've had in years for ANYTHING. They know their stuff and are so passionate http://www.designerchandelier.com.au These guys are in Geelong- but its worth the drive (they had a Richmond shop but they didn't get too many sales- so just back to the 1 shop now). Family run business. They know everything there is to know about chandeliers. They have traditional and modern and custom make stuff. Hope that helps. and Hope you are actually in VIc. We are definitely in VIC. Building in Ballarat so Geelong isn't very far away. I will have a look at the both of them. And something you can appreciate as a fellow pink lover: I got braces and everyone goes get the white ones. but I was like oh no if im going to walk around with train tracks I'm getting Pink ones. So I am now walking around almost 30 with pink braces and I LOVE THEM. not loving the pain they cause but the pink makes me almost forget I look like a teenager. Decorate your home.
