I like the thought of them water proofing the entire wall because we have a cavity slider into the ensuite, and when I look at the installation instructions it shows the whole wall waterproofed. See pic below. My question is: is it standard for builders to water proof the entire wall when tiling to the ceiling? I’m worried that they might just do the standard floor water proofing. Unless you have a bath aswell in which case roughly 300mm above the bath needs to be waterproofed also. If you look at the pic above, they recommend the entire wall of the cavity slider to be water proofed as well. Re: Water Proofing for Floor to Ceiling Tiling? 4Jun 20, 2020 3:28 pm I got entire room water proofed and can't remember pricing, but it wasn't a huge amount more ,got quoted 750 dollars to seal a small amount of sandstone, ended up purchasing product myself for 200dollars and used about 1/4 of product,so 50 dollars worth, Tiler said who done sealing as it's a fantastic job,so margins can be huge. Re: Water Proofing for Floor to Ceiling Tiling? 5Jun 20, 2020 7:19 pm Sounds fair and reasonable from a costing. What are they rectifying that is the same cost?
