Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 09, 2014 4:41 pm I am looking at building the Oxford design by Rendition and have seen a piece of land which I believe is suitable, Can anyone give me a ball park figure of the Build Cost I just want to know what bracket this is in so I can put together a very rough draft budget. I have asked them but from what I have read this may take a while. I would also be interested to hear your thoughts on them as a Builder and any pitfalls to look out for if any. Thank you very much Shell Re: Any Info on the Oxford by Rendition 2May 18, 2014 12:51 pm If you know the square metre, a rough estimate would be to multiple it by about $1320 which was around about what our build went for although we built a custom home. We built with Rendition though. To give you another rough estimate for the stage you are at and also something to compare: When we got the provisional costing (which is what they are doing for you now or will do), the price they gave us was about $1170/square metre. Once they presented the contract and actual price had been calculated, you can see the difference we initially had and what the actual cost was. Good luck! Re: Any Info on the Oxford by Rendition 3May 22, 2014 4:18 pm We were also custom with rendition, several years ago now and costs per square meter including garage, porch, alfresco and balcony was around $1430. Was a double storey though and we added plenty of additional features during selections. Yeah, i guess we will see how it goes, but we will most likely be flicking them over - just hanging for it to be done, over the rental now haha!
