Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 26, 2023 2:28 pm Hi I bought an old cupboard that is in desperate need of some TLC. I was seeking some advice as to the best product to use to give it an oil but also bring it to life a bit. I like the distressed look but not that distressed. I have dusted off the cobwebs but its probably pretty dirty. There is a crack in one of the doors that has been fixed pretty badly but hoping some sort of coating will hide the worst of it. I am somewhat handy having recently spent 6 months restoring my house which involved a lot of wood restoration but that was doors, skirtings and kitchen cupboards. For that I used a product called sikkens which is oil based and that has been great for these applications but I am wondering whether there is something better to use for this project and also do you think that the wood is teak? I certainly dont want to strip it back. Its old and not a fine piece of furniture, so something quick and effective. Appreciate anyones input/advice.
