Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 30, 2023 11:52 am Hi all, My 2 boundary walls are pink board rendered cladding. I have had many issues with water. Currently with VBA for Non-compliant roof. My neighbor today has sent me photos of a heap of cracks going through from top to bottom. Builders maintenance team has told me they are no longer using this material due to leaking. I've emailed builder, but I have no idea what to due, seeing this ending up at VCat. Please see photos. Thanks 😊 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Rendered cladding walls cracks 2May 30, 2023 2:23 pm Hi Knav If you know the type and brand of product that was used you can check the manufacturers installation manual requirements. It will be hard to cross check the installation correctly because its rendered but you can definitely check requirements for thermal expansion etc. I see many times builders not allowing enough room for thermal expansion which ultimately causes cracks throughout the wall when the sheeting has not room to expand . Kind regards Robert Clear View Property Inspections Re: Rendered cladding walls cracks 3May 30, 2023 2:29 pm Thanks for the reply, ive had many issues with this builder. These were no installed to guidelines. This type of cladding is normally put between townhouses. See photos before render. I had to fight to try get the other side fixed as there was holes all through the fire wall. My parents want me to sell before its a lemon 🤣 quote="Clear View Property Inspections"]Hi Knav If you know the type and brand of product that was used you can check the manufacturers installation manual requirements.
