They're harder to install and generally more expensive . Whereas the newer heavy duty polyethylene tanks will still last forever but they're light and strong. You can ship them in easy, transfer them into the ground much easier. I would go with a polyethylene tank, they have an extra thick corrugated walls for maximum strength making it as tough as concrete but lighter.
