Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 16, 2022 6:16 pm Hello everyone, My new build has two pipes sticking up at the front near the garden taps. My landscaper told be these pipes are only there to allow the builder/plumber to know the depth of the pipes (water or stormwater pipes I assume). I had a look inside these pipes and they are filled with dirt and snails. I couldn't see them connected to any stormwater or sewer pipes. It appears maybe when the trenches were dug to lay the water/stormwater/sewer pipes these pipes were laid to let the builder know how deep they could dig before striking a pipe. Can someone confirm this? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Pipes to Indicate pipe depth? 3Dec 17, 2022 11:33 am aussieta never heard that before It makes sense though. I can’t see any other purpose for the pipes in that location and all the neighbours have covered theirs. But I want to be sure before covering them. The distance between my DEBs varies from 4.1m at the narrowest to 8.1m at the widest. 5 27738 Hi, only for walking. It is a narrow 1.5m paved area next to house. 2 5926 4 5886 |
