Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 12, 2022 4:18 pm Hi, I have signed a contract with a demolition Company in Sep where I am been told that my house will get demolished in 3-4 weeks once I do confirm complete Abolishment of services. I have confirmed them on 27th Sep and I was given 17th Oct as my demolition start date. Nothing happened on that week and when I chased them up, it brings into my attention that due to the weather it has been postponed to 2nd Nov. Since, then they keep postponing my job mentioning that they are not able to finish the previous job yet and I am the next one. It's close to 2 plus months now and I can still see nothing has been moved yet. Just wanted to check if 2-3 months delay in demolition is common ? Also, what are my further options ? It looks I cant change the demolition company as it may be another lengthy process . Unfortunately, there is nothing mention about the finishing time frame in contract . Also, this is Builder's preferred demolisher and I have tried pressurising via Builder's management as well, but no luck. Feedback/suggestions ? Please advise .
