Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 15, 2021 7:42 pm Hi guys, About to go firm on the design of our house - need to convey locations for the drains for the slab in around 2-3 weeks. Currently we can't decide on two ensuite layouts - basically larger vanity or walk in shower. We dont mind the idea of a wlak in shower, but as this will be out home for a longtime - we also like the idea of extra room/storage. Keen to get peoples thoughts/votes and whether anyone has any other suggestions. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks in advance! Josh Re: Ensuite Layout - Please help/Vote! 2Sep 15, 2021 8:20 pm Walk-in shower wins for me everytime, but I would only have a single handbasin at one end of the vanity to give more free bench space. If you still need extra storage, why not a semi (or fully) recessed mirrored door cabinet above the vanity? Another option might be (walk-in shower diagram) for the toilet to back onto the bedroom wall so the vanity can turn the corner (L shaped vanity). Not sure I like this as much though...but YMMV. Good luck! Re: Ensuite Layout - Please help/Vote! 3Sep 15, 2021 8:30 pm The left option offers more space and less cluttered. The space between toilet and sink is minimal, this would cause more of a closed in feeling for people with the right option. Besides, a larger shower is overrated IMO! Looks good, but the function is the same as a smaller shower....I dont know many people who lay down in the shower, only in the tub. Re: Ensuite Layout - Please help/Vote! 4Sep 16, 2021 1:57 pm I like a bigger shower, but I prefer the left option. I would prefer to walk into the bedroom and see the basin, rather than the toilet. You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 17439 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 12239 |
