Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3962Oct 20, 2012 8:15 pm Hi, ultrawires, I'm not sure about the Internet service in eminence, but we did go up and look at land there in stage 8, that was all between 190,000 to 230,000 ( from memory) Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3963Oct 20, 2012 9:46 pm abusymum, Thanks for the feedback, hope you weren't too busy. We're looking at some resale lots in Stage 7 and the asking price appears quite close to what you're saying (which I had kind of anticipated). Looks like not much room for negotiation. Cheers. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3968Dec 04, 2012 3:34 pm Hi I have a question for people in mernda villages (or any other estate) where NBN was ready by the time your build was finished and you paid for NBN connection with the builder. What did that entail?? We are bit confused as to what we paid for as its not clear in our documents and it just says NBN pack without any other information. I know from one builder to the other may be slightly different but I'm just after a general idea.. It's usually just a pipe from the street to your wall, then a pipe into your garage from the side of the house and both these pipes will have orange string in them. At least that's what ours was and it was around $400, but don't quote me on that. Cheers Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Water pressure is low even at the front tap.... Ok, crisis averted, went out and checked the pressure this morning and found the stop tap near the meter was half closed. Must have been knocked by something and worth checking if you experience low pressure.... I thought it was a strange idea that my water pressure could be affected that much by others.... And a Carlisle builder too We were going with PD, but it turned sour so yesterday I put down deposit for the Ascot 29 with Carlise start won't be till end of October, maybe even November. My boys are 8, 3 and 1, so next year oldest starts grade 3 and middle boy kinder, I will move them to start in the area, but not sure where yet. Are you on Facebook? There is a fantastic group called Doreen Community Voice you can request to join (unless you're already a member). It's a very active group which can be very informative. When does your build start?
