It's near completion another month and noise should subside. Built in "The Briars", started 1st July and completed 1st Dec 2010, builder Pearson Homes Doreen. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3678Sep 05, 2011 5:59 pm angel Hi For those of you who are living or planning to live in Laurimar, Harrisons view and surrounding areas. This week a submission to the Growth Areas Authority has been recommended for approval to move the Urban Growth Boundary from the border of the western end of Laurimar Estate, along the Yan Yean pipe track, north of Hazel Glen Drive, along the Plenty River to Arthurs Creek Road. This area is currently zoned as rural conservation zone and it is proposed to be changed to residential. If you have purchased land based on it overlooking the rural conservation zone, then you especially are affected. This process still needs to be signed off by the Planning Minister and pass through Parliament. If you have any concerns please PM me as I will be organising a partition. This area with its ancient red river gums, mobs of kangaroos and the Plenty River flats are all part of what makes living here so special. These majestic gums have survived 200 years of European settlement but it they may not survive for much longer. Locals have believed planning rules ensured that the open space between the pipe track and the Plenty River would not and could not be built upon. This submission has been processed without consultation with the residents. The decision can be found on the GAA website at http://is.gd/nLOnLe. We'll be mega peed if this happens! The view across the paddocks is gorgeous, and a reason why we purchased our block on the western edge of the estate! Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! The view across the paddocks is gorgeous, and a reason why we purchased our block on the western edge of the estate! Doesn't look like it is going past your area.. but I guess once they start one area then it is only a matter of time! I got some letters in the mail and they said it is the developer of Mitchells Run. Not sure who that is. Launders? I saw the plan and doesn't look like they are putting in any parks, just some open reserve areas where the trees are.. so doesn't really fit in with how harrison's view in Laurimar has been laid out.. or mitchells run for that matter..
