Sikaflex Pro instead of Window Flashing?

Hi all,

I have just had some new windows and weatherboards installed and they used Sikaflex Pro to seal around the window instead of flashing. Is this sufficient, and allowed?

A couple of people have told me they have to have flashing, the builder insists they always just use Sikaflex instead. I'm reading this from the NCC which seems to indicate that flashing is required: https://awa.associationonline.com.au/do ... /item/1987

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

AFAIK, flashing is a minimum standard. Out of curiosity is your window glass stamped with AS requirements in any of the corners of each pane? Im almost certan if theyre doi9ng this, then the actual glass theyre using is blehrgh too
