Concrete slab

Hi we are owner builder and getting ridiculous prices for home slab for a double flood residence in box hill NSW.
Need genuine licensed concreter with own licence.
Can someone guide any tips or hurdles faced during slab(waffle pods) and prices recieved per sqm with piering and DEB costs.
What are the prices like?

If you can, go for rafted slab instead of waffle pod.

Yes doing waffle pod but guys quoting $140 per sqm then $65 per m piers each +100$ per m drop edge beam
Are those "all in" costs including earthworks, set out, plumbing?

If it is just for formwork, reo, concrete and finish then probably a bit on a high side.

If it includes excavation, plumbing, termite treatment etc., then more or less within the range.

But get 3 quotes from 3 concreters.

General Discussion

The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists.

Building Standards; Getting It Right!

is this for a residential dwelling or a shed? If its for a dwelling, its out of tolerance and a "mistakes happen" isnt a good enough excuse to just move on.
