Cost too high? 40 squares, double storey

Can anyone tell me if $450k sounds too much for a double storey, 5 bedroom house (with double garage, 3.5 bathrooms). That doesnt include landscaping/driveway, upgrades for bricks, etc).

well i got quoted 480k for 32 sq double story. this is with private builder with nothing extra that he is putting in(builder)..

Still waiting for other quotes....

That's about what we were quoted, by three different companies. Give or take $20k or so for variation in materials/design/etc. That was mostly standard everything, no frameless shower glass or 40mm Caesarstone or waterfall island-bench ends or floor-coverings outside of wet-areas, etc etc.

Sounds very reasonable. I have budgeted $1500 per sqm including landscaping.

Sounds very good to me. Mine is 730K for 60sq but that includes 10sq of garage and 4sq of alfresco.
