Finish around windows

Our house isn't finished yet (but is very close) but at the moment all the windows and doors are messy around the internal rim. Can anyone post photos of how their windows are finished? Here's an example of one of our windows.

But they didn't even leave it at one level it goes up and down along the whole front of the house

Horizontal costs extra, and depending on door sizes (and colour) vertical may not be possible.
