Grinder I got the measurements off the net but not sure how big my microwave cut out is, we haven't moved yet. PCI tomorrow I will take the tape measure with me, I hope it fits, it would look so shmick
hmmm there is 4.5cm different in height but the microwave space is much smaller than the oven
ETA Idiot website had wrong measurements

You're stock standard microwave cubby is 600w x 390h. Sadly that corker of a Bosch won't fit in a standard cubby.
Hmmm, maybe I can get shorter doors and make it higher.. already wanting to change my brand new kitchen, dh is going to kill me
Mrs P, your kitchen looks lovely. Mmm, undermount sink.....
Sorry, no help at all with your question, just had to tell you how nice it looks.

Thanks Kek! I've been in the house so many times nothing will be new and shiny for me when we move haha
Just wondered if any one knows how we stand with our microwave cut out. The plans say 634 when I have measured the internal measurement it measures 550. The microwave we have bought is not going to fit. We will be doing the walk through in the next 2 weeks. Where do we stand with this. It has an essa stone base but the internal sides seem to have extra panels which are making it narrow internally. These look like they could be removed but unsure if they are offering support to the cupboard above.
Any opinions/comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

The external size of the fascia of a built in Microwave can be very different to the external size of the microwave 20mm back from the front.
I am doing a Microwave at the minute that is 600mm wide at the fascia but only 520mm wide behind it.
You really need the microwave there to check if it will fit. The online specs from most appliance suppliers are terriable.
The installation guide here https://portal.bsh-partner.com/portal%2 ... LFRAME.HTM
Says that the cavity should be min 450mm internal height, 568mm (560+8mm) internal width and 5500mm internal depth.

Theres no specific code but consider hot liquids being removed from the microwave, the higher the more likely itll spill. Aim for no higher than 1400 to the base.
