Does it abut a garage? Perhaps you could have the door on the other side? It’s not about the garage, want to utilise storage under the stairs but the lttle door doesn’t look great (ruin the corridor look) https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/84264_1537102440.png

We chose hinged door. Happy with the one the builders put in. It’s translucent so let’s in enough light but frosted so you can’t see in/out. It faces the street corner so privacy is great! We got a screen put on after handover as we have inside cats and there is a great breeze through this door dur...
Translucent door is a great idea, thank you!

Definitely two, one on each side. We have a similar size house with a small one on one side, feeding our daughters ensuite and downstairs bathroom, and a second larger one that services the main bathroom and our ensuite upstairs and laundry and kitchen downstairs. My hubby is a gas plumber by trade...
Thanks for your feedback, very helpful .

I hate underbench for microwaves. My preference is for them to be installed above the oven, but at a height that I can see into it without bending or stretching. That is, the bottom of the mw a little below my shoulder height. I really don't want a face full of steam when getting something out from...

I prefer under the bench. must easier to lift something up. I currently have a microwave in the tower and it makes it quite difficult to get things in and out having to lift them and when they are hot and you cant see in easily etc. It is also quite dangerous pulling things out, hot liquids for exa...

Under the bench is fine. I lived in a house for 20 years with the microwave in a tower and I have found the under bench one in the new house no problem at all. Thanks, much appreciated your feedback! DB

Just wondering how practical is putting microwave under the bench top as compare to in tower? Is it annoying to bend, any feedback please? I guess it depends on how much you use it and how good your back is. We find it no trouble at all, but we only use the microwave to heat basic foods and drinks,...
