couple things to consider: FHOG eligibility is not lost if you build an investment property and don't access FHOG. You can access it in the future (if its around at the time). If you've already accessed it, you've lost access to it in the future. But by the sound of it you havent applied or received...

yes its worth it. every stage. You also missed a crucial stage in not having slab inspected. If there was anything wrong with it, its all covered in concrete.. Cost is usually around 5-700 per report. SOm places will give you a discount for multiple stages. Dont know anyone in Sydney that i could re...

My builder suggested narrower arc otherwise it would look weird. I think they were right. Ill def. be keeping an eye on mine now. If you can live with it though, k...

I agree with the post above.I really like how it looks. I would lover to have the wide trims but it cost too much. Thanks. Yeah I think we have decided to live with them - the more and more i look the more they are growing on me. Interesting as well to hear how variable the upgrade cost is for some...

people were camping out for land releases in western sydney for four days so its quit possible that land is getting snapped up like that. Not had that issue in Melbourne's west though. Walked into a land sales office, liked the look of a block, paid a deposit. Done.

When using a coach screw, is it's holding capacity diminished if the length exceeds the thickness of the wood it's going through? Ie if the wood is say 40mm thick and a 75mm coach screw is used would that be a problem? I onow the solution is just get shorter coach screws, but not sure if I need to

Hi brains trust. So I'm building a place and I will be doing the usual perimeter around the house in concrete. At the moment, the builder will be putting silt pits in along the perimeter in a couple places. Right where it be putting the path (obviously be cause that's where the storm water pipes are...

Hello. Been here before. Not focusing on that, focusing on the new build. Wife and I have settled on a Montessa 43 by Henley, with a change to the whole top floor. Moving the master suite to the back changes the layout for the better IMO. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/99750_1610940461.jpg We are bu...

So anyone have some insight into how waffle pod slabs perform over time when laid during uncharacteristically wet vs uncharacteristically dry periods on highly reactive clay? All engineering requirements and drainage being conisddered as met of course.

What are the approximate fencing costs per meter in Melbourne for a 2M high standard colourbond fence with...
