What you have to take into account that just the waterfall ends will probably require an extra slab just for them and also the extra work involved for manufacture and installation of waterfall ends tends to boost the price a lot. Some kitchen companies are making the end panels on islands return the...

The internals of both doors are the same they are both MDF doors, so no difference there. Laminate is less likely to scratch than polyurethane but having said that i have had it for 12 years and with boys driving cars all over it its all okay. If you do have light scratches you can just use car poli...

There should be no difference in price between laying with 1.5mm or 3mm its just the size of the spacer. The real question is are the Tiles chosen Porcelain Rectified Tiles ? if they are than 1.5mm joint wont be a problem as the tiles are cut precisely the same size. If not than dont even try using ...

There are a few things i would consider changing. 1) The Walk In linen at the front of the house to be deleted as it seems there is ample storage throughout the house and extend the WC to make a powder room with vanity and mirror. Remove Bed2 Robe and put in onto the back of the Bath tub Wall as the...

Your room is 2900mm wide so i would reduce shower width to 900 as it is a long area and give that bit extra room around bath, go free standing it looks great. Worst case you can alsways build it in later ;-)

Just agree with neighbour and get them to pay half of the normal colorbond fence, make sure they pay half prior to install. Than after all works are complete and money is paid you can add on a fence extension on your side to go higher. You can do solid or we used decorative screening and it helps th...

We are building with Croftland at MacArthur Heights in Campbelltown. It is at the framing stage now. So far so good. They have used better quality timber than other projects near us. A few of my friends' built houses through Croftland in Denham Court, they recommended the builder. Can I ask who you...

Yes the standard for heat areas is Toughened glass in the window. The other issue is the rubbers in the window over time harden due to exposure to high heat but that s the only issue you should get. The main issue is cleaning as glass gets condensation on it therefor everything will stick to it but ...

Best height for above sink area for overheads would be around 750mm that added to base height will give you 1650mm from floor level which is probably best. If you are using the window as a splashback behind a sink it doesnt need to be toughened glass, standard glass is fine as there is no heat issue.

Thick or thin is a personal choice but if you have a long run with overhang 20mm looks funny. 40mm doesn't look good when the just butt join the pieces together as you get that line in the middle so if you choose thicker make sure its mitred to make the thickness

The problem for plywoods is they bow and buckle unless fix to solid surfaces. With our climates I wouldnt use plywood for doors, i have seen it tried and failed on many occasions. Look at timber veneers on mdf doors is the best solution with a polyurethane clear finish on top to protect it.

Bath in the bedroom can really work from a design point of view but thats all. I dont see the big thing in looking at my bed while taken a bath mostly cause its never made. I prefer a bath in front of large window which goes down to bath level and can look outside, nothing like a hot bath on a cold ...
