If you are running falls from the house to front of balcony i would suggest to use tile screed to get the proper falls required. If the Balcony has no roof over it i would go to 1: 80 min but keep in mind screed minimum thickness is 15mm, so at the door this will be 15mm plus fall. At the entry to t...

To put anything over slate you will need to put self level compound over the entire area as slate various in thickness and is very un even. To install most types of flooring the substrate needs to be straight.

We do long term jobs like this all the time and as a company we provide a site toilet/shower unit as required by law for the workers to use which has a full wash area inside including hand cleaner etc. The units we have nowadays are very nice and get cleaned routinely by the hire companies. We also ...

A thin bead of white silicone all around will close the gap but the boards can move if needed. The will stop water and dirt from going under the floor as well.

Regardless of wall hung toilet or floor pan toilet your feet will be right on drain, seems to me the waste should not be in that location given the design. Also are you having a Bidet Toilet ? or is the power supposed to be in Shaving Cabinet ?

Not sure how much the job was worth but you need to provide contracts if doing works over certain values by law. in NSW any works above $5000 requires a written cotract. Maybe this is an avenue if they have not followed the state regulations to negotiate.

This is the way its generally completed, tiler will not grout around spigot as any movement on spigot will just crack the grout. This should be finished with an external grade sealant to prevent water entering under the tiles and this will allow for movement. Make sure sealant is compatible to water...

To my knowledge there is no code to placement of items like toilet roll holders, towel rails etc in residential but definetly are measurements and specs for age & disability sectors. That is just a very poor design bathroom but not sure where else you could put it honestly

I know 3 top builders who have staff employed just to troll the internet and social media sites to eliminate the bad reviews or comments. The 200mm rule has been around for ages with gas cooktops but it refers to combustable materials. Tiles and Glass splashbacks are classed as non combustable, however caesarstone is a high resin product and will absorb heat rapidily and cool quickly which will cause it to crack thats why they put tha...
