Something to do with Dragon Ball Z? Nope. :D Is it Yu-Gi-Oh or Naruto? Nope. SBS???? Almost! ; ) Don't think it's been on commercial television anywhere other than Japan. You would have to have bought the DVDs. It's a series called 鋼の錬金術師, or in romaji Haga...

My wife and I both used to work for Ford. Whilst Ford as a company is really not a great place to work (hence we both left), knowing what we know about how Holden operates as a company we could never bring ourselves to drive one! I still have my trusty Laser. :D --Mike

Howdy! Which way does your block face? Is your back fence on the north, west or east side of your block? After I know that I can help you with some suggestions for where you can put different things. One thing you might want to invest in (regardless of what sort of garden you want) is a drip system....

I could use some of those image manipulation skills when it comes to choosing colours, I think! My wife has much the same problem--she lacks the (usually male) trait of being able to mentally manipulate an image and visualise it. --Mike

We were trying to find out what sort of broadband we can expect at our new place in Mernda when we move in (about a year away, but it pays to find these things out early). Turns out the only thing Telstra has put the infrastructure in for is ADSL. No cable or ADSL2 for us... --Mike

I can't help it. It's true. In most standard IQ tests, males outscore females on questions of image manipulation in two or three dimensions by as much as half a standard deviation. And I even threw in a "usually". :? --Mike

Or, before that, try using ant-rid. It's a honey-like substance the ants collect and take back to the nest as food, which then spreads through the nest killing the ants in the nest. We've used it to very good effect with a couple of different ant nests at our place, but you will have ants coming bac...

:n: "The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed" Remember that. Hi JoJo-- The thing about spending "all that money" on a knockdown is that $10-20,000 dollars is still a lot cheaper than buying a new block of land. In addition, I'm sure you can work something out with the bank about your repayments while you knock down--we've found banks to be remarkably flexible...

I'm possibly not the most unbiased person to talk about this stuff as I have moved house 25 times, so keep that in mind. There are, in my opinion, three (and a half) major components to moving home. Part One: Choosing a New Home Building or buying, you need to spend some time choosing where y...

Great post cynarion! :: :: ::  Thanks Jo. I'm just tired of hearing parents abdicate responsibility for their kids. And I don't even have any yet. Keep it going and we'll end up with a nanny state. But then, I said I was going to stop talking, didn't I? --Mike

:D I actually look forward to the day when we have kids knocking holes in our walls. I think it's a perfect opportunity to teach them a lesson about action and consequence, and some new skills in how to repair a plaster wall as well. ;) --Mike

I understand your husband's position on not wanting to get too far ahead of yourselves. However, trust me when I say it's worse to be in a position where you have to make all the decisions now now now!!! Everything suddenly becomes much less fun that way. Most builders won't even look at you unless ...
