Making sure you actually get the trade certificates as and when the work is done is probably more important than this special condition.

No point wasting your time. Vendor won't agree. Your solicitor probably hasn't seen enough of these. Focus on other things like building timeframe / constraints would be time better spent. Infinite-justice Thanks for the question. I try and bring 100% transparency to this forum, and I had been avoiding saying anything negative about my previous designer publicly as I wish no harm to them, as over the years they have done some wonderful things for us. But seeing as you asked; In summa...

Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets. Looking at the Boston Oak ones, it appears that the colour varies significantly between different projects: https://www.polytec.com.au/colour-gallery/boston-oak/ In the Shoal at Waterford Rise and Milan 29 Displ...

Yes, in the past Wisdom Homes took a very, very, proactive position on social media management. Just google Wisdom Homes and ACCC! In addition, positive (or minimising negatives) social media is critical for marketing and in any forum you can often find proxies and should consider their motives. No...
In fairness nobody gave a crap about the ACCC and the gag clauses continued in the pro forma templates of a few other b...

Slightly off the usual topics...but this truck carrying a brick elevator was involved in a hit and run this morning at around 9.20AM at the cross section of Pennant Hills and North Rocks roads. Unfortunately the dash cam recording is too blurred and the rego cannot be seen for a number of reasons......

The ACCC has had a few go's on the volume builders on the standard form HIA contracts under the UCT regime and have not found many of the special conditions to be unfair. And they have not even found / alleged the $1 default liquidated damages to be unfair. The whole system heavily favours the build...

Perhaps have a look at your contract first and see what the construction period and the liquidated damages for delay are, and take it from there.

I wouldn't play the ACCC cards. Everyone knows how the building contracts are one-sided favouring the builder but the ACCC has had virtually no bones to pick from those standard contracts other than the gag clauses, which even a blind person can see as being unfair. Either the ACCC is utterly incomp...

Wasn't Elderton Homes gone late 2022, and since Millbrook was just a high end spin off, this is hardly a surprise.

gross floor area has the same meaning as it has in the Standard Instrument. However, in Part 3, 3B, 3C or 3D it means the sum of the floor area of each floor of a building measured from the internal face of external walls, or from the internal face of walls separating the building from any other bu...

Any builder that starts with 45% interest rate and $5 per day LD should be an immediate write-off in my books. But I guess you found that out way too late in the process and you face a decision of wasting time and money already spent or having some faith in the builder who is ready to rip you off on...

These sliding doors are fairly common in Japan but are not always featured in Australian homes. The first one is sliding glass door and instead of sliding behind another glass frame, it slides behind external wall. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/94781_1684067569.jpg The second one is a cavity slidin...

Are you getting the horizontal line in the stair wall patched up and painted? For me it kind of destroys the cleanliness of the 4 vertical LED strips.
