I have a love for the black-framed steel doors seen in many beautiful spaces online. Images (added here for examples) of these style doors are so common, and yet I'm being told it's not a simple or a good option. We are building a new home, and I wanted to use this style of doors in our l/shaped op...
LOVE these! We are hoping to achieve a similar look.

Hi everyone Our plans have slightly changed which means our top floor no longer sits on top of the ground floor back windows. To me, this sounds like we could upgrade our standard stacker door to a wider bifold/stacker door as the supporting beam will not need to upgraded. Does this make sense? Shou...

Hi everyone We are hoping to have some paving done at the rear of our new home. Is it cheaper to get our builder to pour the slab whilst building the house or to just do it ourselves separately after the house is built? Thanks.

Hi everyone Can anyone recommend a nice luxurious looking product to use for kitchen bench-tops without breaking the bank. It's my splurge item in the whole house. I don't want to go too overboard. The options we saw at our colour selections were a bit boring - I would like a statement piece, but no...

Does anyone know if this is concrete flooring or tiling? I'm not a fan of concrete floors but I'm hoping to find a happy medium - that's a tile with a semi concrete look - any help would be great. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/94066_1590314541.jpg

Currently I have a 900mm under-bench oven and love it. With our new home, I was thinking 2 x 600mm ovens - undecided whether under-bench or wall ovens... Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Pros and cons of each? Thanks in advance.

How much space is too much space between the kitchen island bench and the bench top behind the island? We have 1.8m allocated at the moment and I feel like it's too much. Any advice would be great!

Hi everyone As it stands in our current plans, we don't have access to our rear yard via the garage. We can enter the home via the garage and walk through the laundry for access to the side of the home, or enter the rear yard from the front yard via the other side of the house. How important do you ...

Hi everyone We are planning on having a bathtub in our main bathroom and ensuite. My partner thinks we will save a bit of money by not having a bathtub in the ensuite. I always loved the idea of a statement free standing bathtub in my ensuite. Would love to hear what you all think. Is it a waste of ...

HI everyone Our current floor plan does not have a linen cupboard upstairs. We have 4 bedrooms with WIRs, but I still feel I need a linen cupboard. What is everyone's thoughts on this? I'm a big believer in lots of storage and feel every house needs a linen cupboard upstairs as well as downstairs? W...

I really like your floor plan. Personally, I would bring the garage forward in line with the sitting and also bring along the laundry and study forward with it. I would then make the dining room adjacent to the living room. I just feel like it's a bit tight where it is at the moment. Do you have any...

Personally, I need a space where I could iron clothes without bumping into things. Somewhere I could have a nice set of cupboards and lots of bench space and areas to hang clothes. It probably depends how much time you spend doing the laundry I guess. I spend lots of time washing as I have 3 young c...

We too made the mistake of making our laundry small. In our new build, I'm hoping to have a bigger more functional space.
