Waterproofing is not a mandatory inspection the builders only get a certificate from the waterproofing company's. The mandatory inspection by the VBA are 1. preslab/base 2. steel for the slab 3. frame 4. final the only thing I can suggest is get a copy of the certificate

hi I think that you should be compensated as this is a requirement AS3740 (Australian Standard Waterproofing of Domestic Wet areas).
