Hi, My neighbour has Zero lot and next to garage wall he has left 200mm setback. But in the front garage he has poured concrete till the boundry. Is this even allowed ? Get some decent insulation into your floor joists of the bedroom. That way it doesn't matter how cold your garage gets - door open /door closed, your bedroom should be noticeably warmer. What's in the ceiling of your bedroom? Stewie When you say insulation are you referring Rug or Carpet?. Ceiling ...

I know that our garage is quite cold because there is a gap around the garage door when the wind comes in. Have a look at putting some expanding foam into the gap and this would make the garage warmer and less cold air coming through your bedroom floor. Thanks. I have now put embaseals on garage si...

South facing rooms do not get any Sunlight and are cool. There's not much you could do post construction now. Suggest , getting a split system installed for the room, get thick curtains installed, add some rugs to keep the room losing the heat. Thanks
Thanks

Hi, Curious to know on condensation in glass windows. How does some glass windows in some display homes or office building's or some shops does not have condensation or due drops during winter? Is it because the air condition inside the building keeps running or they use special glass material? Thanks

Double-glazing will help with keeping the house cool/warm. Will allow a lot of natural light in and great potential for water feature, etc. You didn't mention which direction this faces so this will impact on how much heat loss in winter (south facing) or heat gain in summer (north facing) this wil...
Thanks, the glass would be facing east or little bit to south-east
