Ah I think I saw your post today on the Arden Homes - New Build Facebook Group. Sounds like you plan your networking in a similar fashion as myself! As we signed up after the Powerwall 2 backup function points were made available, Arden have generously given us 3 standard backup points, fridge, USB...
You are right about backup points! To be honest... if I can’t have it, I will use the ups like I do now.... it’s more a...

×KolloscheAre you building with Arden? Sure am! We are building a modified Mercer 39. I too am a bit of a nerd, so i want to have the WSC mounted in the wardrobe in the study and co-located with the NAS, router, switches and other stuff going in there. At this point in time (we have just booked our ...

I assume the 4K for KDR is where you are having the electricity moved from pole to new pit? I only ask as we are doing a KDR, but in an area where there is already underground power. So i assume they will just tap a new line (after demo) from where they abolished it in the first place?!?!

i know there's the facebook page now but i don't want to ask this on there because there are arden employees in the group. Can anyone here tell me who does the cabinetry in springvale area? hoping to change more kitchen cupboards to pot drawers as theyre much more convenient to use. Do you want to ...
Do you want to change them POST handover? or do you want to do it at the build stage? The reason I ask is that we are g...

Bricklayers will tell you that bricks require no maintenance Renderers will tell you that you may get 10 years between coats but they recommend every 5 years as the render starts to break down and lets moisture through. Long term bricks are much cheaper option but it depends on your immediate budge...
Thanks @ardenkdr!! I am definitely leaning toward the brick now. Another reason I am heading that way is that we want t...

While I have some concerns, they are minor, while my wife has a lot of concerns regarding hebel. So... here are what I see the pro's and cons: Pro's for Hebel: Better ther...

I have someone who is very good at landscape plans for whitehorse council. Where are you? I might have to get those details off you. I am in Knox and was going to ask the same question about landscaping plans. I assume that Arden wont do them for you (even at a fee). I know they can be done yoursel...

We have been quoted the standard 35k provisional site costs for KDR, That said, we are no way near tender yet, so its going to be a while before I have an idea as to what we are actually dealing with. That said, we already have underground power so some of the crane costs etc... shouldnt apply, but ...

In my current house, the standard build put only 1 GPO in smaller bedrooms and 2 in the master. It was well and truly not enough. Also... if you are having wall mounted TV's, make sure the...
