Tiling started 12/06/18 and finish on 29/06/18. Site costs are back, a small amount over budget but as we are now essentially having 2 split levels across the entire house and garage it's reasonable and not unexpected. Also waffle pod slab and a lot of screw piles. Final contracts drawing etc should come this week and hopefully things are in pla...

Still no site costs. Como have decided we need to make the house split level due to the way the back retaining wall is built. Apparently the walls concrete footings fan out in a pyramid shape under the ground so we can't do a sit cut deep enough to sit a single level house on. Bit annoying but not ...
Why wouldn't they figure it out earlier. From what I understand the way they built the walls was different to the first...

Land has finally settled today, bring on the mortgage! Soil test and survey happened on Monday and reports are back already which is awesome. Soil type is P and we will need a H1 waffle slab which we expected so no rude shocks. That being said we are still waiting on final site costs so let's hope ...
Would be interesting to know how much site costs you end up with. I may end with a similar soil test results. I'll let ...

We'ere considering doing downlights after handover if the cost saving is significant. Does anyone know what brand downlights Arden use as standard and how much do they charge in addition to a batten? Thanks Daz I think its roughly 90/downlight in lieu of batten
