Simeon, do you know already who will be able to supply you the windows? I doubt that a lot of manufacturers will be able manufacture some of the oversized or odd shaped windows you have. And, obviously, you would need to have them double glazed (Asians like warm and quiet houses). Imagine the weight...

Round corners... Great outside, but somewhat not so easy to accommodate inside... Probably worth considering 'buying' high quality interior design too. Same applies to rounded windows, too. Just 2 cents. Congrats on new exciting journey! :)

Good to have, but it is not really mandatory, from what I know. You have waterproof retaining wall in front, so should be fine. I am only worried about this section above the wall which certainly has to be covered somehow.

Yes, you would need insulation to be in place.

The slab is supposed to be waterproofed from the bottom side with the plastic film. In the worst case scenario and to be 100% sure that the film was not punctured during the pour, it still might be a good idea to apply waterproofing spray under the battens (or to install a rubber underlay under the ...

Hey Simeon, Sorry to hear about your troubles with the raining. Have you considered some temporary roof cover solutions? There are some like http://bigbensafety.com, which can be attached to the scaffolding and provide full protection against elements, but also others like https://stormseal.com/ (Au...

Shouldn't your frame covered from the outside before you put in insulation into the walls? And yes, you would have to put insulation in between joists too.

Neither 85 mm nor 100 mm is good enough for H2 soil, you would still need piers and rafted slab or go all the way with 250 mm flat raft slab (without footings, one big flat stiff panel with 2 layers of reinforcements).

I don't think that standard hollow core slabs will be able to span across 8.5 m, you would need to support them either with internal load bearing wall or with structural steel or concrete beam. You would need to seal concrete from the outside, ideally with render and then you would have to decide ho...

What is the area of your roof? You could use roughly 100 kg/m2 as a calculation basis for the tiled roof. If your roof area is 300 sqm, its total weight (with structure) will be around 30 ton. Divide by roof perimeter (e.g. 60 m) and you get the load per linear meter (e.g. 500 kg/m in my example). B...

Can you send a photo of cracks? The way you apply render to the blueboard should be: base coat with glued mesh, then texture coat.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you are using Colorbond, your roof weights around 5 kg/m2. Roof trusses like that are generally designed to carry bigger loads and are oftentimes placed at 0.9 m intervals. In your case they are at 0.6 m? I wouldn't have to worry.
