Hi friends, I'm having a slight moment despair, and I'm not entirely sure if I've made permanent damage to my Exposed Aggregate driveway. For over 12 months I've had a blotch of EOYL'S fluid that leaked onto my driveway, this is an additive for diesel cars, my car in turn had a leak for about 2 mont...

Hi all, I've just started landscaping my new home. I have planted some smallish specimen under my front window, Rhapis Excesla (Lady Finger Palm) & The Coryline Fruticosa 'Rubra'. These plants all have very small/narrow roots from my research and are very slow growing here in Melbourne. After ge...

Personally it wouldn't bother me But I would definitely bring it and other small faults up as you can use them as bargaining chips - "OK I'll accept the chip but then you need to do this..." That's good advice mate, thanks. I guess it's not really worth the trouble then replacing one bric...

My PCI has been booked in for next week, which is great news. Does anyone else have any more feedback regarding the chipped brick on the boundary?

Based on it's location and the fact that it will cause you no issues from a structural viewpoint, I wouldn't bother. If it was next to you entry or probably in any other spot that you'd regularly see it then I'd say get it fixed but considering the fact you will never see it again, I'd just move on...
Thanks Chippy. I'm of the same opinion also regarding the chipped brick. I would assume for that to be fixed, the brick...

Hi all, My new build is almost at the completion stage. I wanted a second opinion on a single brick that has been chipped. Overall the the bricks around the house seem to be in good condition. Could this chip be problematic in the future, it is on the boundary wall facing my neighbour, I won't ever ...

Thanks Hart's for the advice. Would you suggest it would be worthwhile them replacing the suspect bricks? I'm just not sure how far I should go and what decision to make if given the option. As I mentioned the plaster is already in so I'd imagine this would be a pain of a job getting to those brick ...

Just giving this post a little bit of a bump, any feedback would be much appreciated as to whether I should be concerned about the brick work? I have raised the concern today with my SS, he will be visiting the site sometime this week. He mentioned most likely it should not cause any problems, but w...

Hi there, We are currently at the lockup stage of our new home build. This is our first home and after two years of title delays we can't believe we are almost there. Today my wife and I had a little bit of a nosey around the outside of the property. Upon our own visual inspection we noticed some ra...

Atherbogan, You have been extremely helpful and very kind of you to offer some advice, thank you. I will have a drive around this weekend and see a few different estates, funny though I did ask the sales consultant if there was anything around Melton South or even Wyndham Vale out of curiosity and a...

The 202K is including the site costs, but not the LMI. Apparently with this particular block they can't fit any other home on it, it is a small block only L 22M X W 10.5M with a 4M backyard once the house is on it. Am I right in saying this is the premium you pay for an area closer to the city such ...

Hi all, I've recently engaged with Home Buyers Center here in Melbourne. We got my Finance checked over to see If we are eligible through Resolve and that all looks pretty positive.
