Get everything you can into loan as it’s amazing how money slips through fingers when build starts. I get so annoyed paying rates and water/sewerage charges etc when didn’t even have a house ! Plus you ll be wanting new furniture etc so the boring stuff such as screens/ blinds / carpets etc is last ...

PHEW! Colour selections done and dusted. It’s funny to watch Allison get excited - the more excited she gets the louder she gets, and in a very echoe room, between her yelling about taps and colours and the consultant lady trying to talk over her, I have a headache..... I can’t really remember the ...

we chose eclipse bricks with shale grey and had off white mortar ... we had to pay 2k for brick wash due to dark brick ....

Gj Gardner tried us at I think $10 a day and we fought to get it too $80 as the law says it should realistically cover your costs .... imagine ongoing rental , interest on homeloan , rates , water access charges etc etc ... it all adds up so even $500 a week doesn’t cover it but gives u some protect...

Week 14 update, Painting is now completed, driveway is suppose to be in sometime this week hoping for today or tomorrow. Front door and posts have been stained also. I would not risk signing for 50 per cent at frame stage as leaves you very vulnerable if they fold. The percentage should reflect the work done and leave u enough money to complete build if u have to take it to another builder. It is your protection.
