They dont put them on properly initially in order to allow the floor people to remove them without causing wall damage, but this results in them warping (i your build drags out). They are only put on properly after the flooring is done. Depending on how much they warped by then, a tiny bit of warpin...

here http://i.imgur.com/qYkOsAf.jpg Possibly use a good filler to just bring the level up a bit? Bunnings has an epoxy filler that works really well. We had some big chips in our slab edges and I was using that to fill them. Might solve the issue for you without grinding

https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/20916_1503392932.jpg Is this acceptable off white or white mortar? Our contract says white cement. Gets lighter once it dries but that does look like sand/cream Mortar rather than white/off-white. If it's any consolation, I think it looks really good with that brick, ...

Masterton Payment schedule. Can anyone tell me if there is a fixed payment schedule that Masterton will expect us to comply with? Has anyone managed to negotiate with Mastertons for this schedule? Well I think mine will be removed and plastered over 🤣 I never actually noticed mine until this post! Ours is just a plain rectangular skirting so not prominent. I don't recall having selected it specifically, but we did generally go with the simple look with skirtings so they probably just match i...

40 jobs is insane even by M standards. I heard that most companies would have an average 15 jobs per SS. Masterton had 25, thus had so many defects they had to come back to If this SS indeed has 40 jobs, this company is in serious crisis and it would be wise to stay away from these guys if you are ...
Our old SS had 35 but got it down to a manageable low 20's a couple of weeks back prior to handing over to the new guy ...

Thanks beeprelude. We've just found out that our site supervisor has quit and finishes up today which is bad news as it's means they will likely sit for 4 weeks before they can hire someone and get things going again. He was number 4 in SS and lasted the longest by far! Can't believe your so far ah...

Has anyone actually had a single dwelling ready within 9 - 12 months or a Duplex within 12 months? i understand Masteron will pay $50 per day over the contract date, does that include weekend also i.e $250 a week towards our temp rental accommodation? Has anyone had a 4 piece bifold installed? How well is it working for you? Our 2 sets are shockingly poor quality. Joints, handles, locks rusting badly, doors not smooth and scratching the tracks, one lock broken and the rest reasonably hard to operate. Pic of hinge (after cleaning!) https://uploads...

Hello Everyone, We have had a flurry of activity. We are now in Liquidated Damages, so I'm thinking there is a bit of motivation to get us finished. We are all painted, electrician was apparently there today, plumber booked for tomorrow and floor tiles next week. I think the current guesstimate is ...

Is the cutlery a new thing??? Yep, they said they just introduced it as the gift Nd we were one of the first 2 weeks back. Quite a nice set - heavy and nicely weighted M have been working hard to fix up our (very long) list of issues without being unreasonable (so far). It's amazing how much rework...

Received a letter yesterday saying our SS has been changed Sunshine125 - Looks like we have the same SS! Got our letter yest as well. He's tried his best for us but he seems as worn down as us.looking after 30+ houses with 1 lot of tradies is no fun I guess. We signed PCI 2 weeks ago even though we...

There is a full price vs incremental price over the existing items (which they credit you with). $3253 might be full price if you're not replacing anything. We got 2x 2427 doors and were charged $1356 for the one replacing the standard alfresco door and $1561 for the one replacing the windows We hav...

Rox82 - we specified at tender or construction plans stage (can remember which - definitely started at tender but I think it needed to be specified in the plan) that rwt doesn't feed laundry. Izee - we used site demolition as they were linked to Masterton and were priced competitively. They did a good job. We had a lot of problems with them but they were honest and sorted everything out. Izee, it's standard. Damage is inevitable due to tip trucks, digging for gas lines. I think you're meant to rectify it when you do your driveway. We had to pay a bond to council for it.
