Thanks everyone. It's been great to vent on here to people who understand! We sent our request to terminate the contract to homestead yesterday. For our peace of mind it was the right thing to do. Two separate people from homestead have now told us that the Vic and NSW companies are as good as dead...
I'm so glad you did this given everything that's been on the news this week. How awful ? We are in the process of worki...

I think it's the right thing to do hon. If it makes you feel any better, we spent over 2 years with a builder dragging a house to site only to be so frustrated with the process we terminated our contract. We'd lost all faith in them and just couldn't be patient and loyal to them any longer. Now only...

In all fairness bluesteel I've not really posted much of the process of how we got to our design. We used a pre-construction service who lined up the architect, interior design, survey, cfr and council applications and put together a tender which went out to a number of builders. So in reality Gasp...

what a shame...we were not contacted by our Building support Coordinator or Site Manager yet. In the contract, it says around 38 to 40 weeks from construction. Hopefully they'll be in touch soon, if not contact them lol

LOL, I was going to say the same thing. I went for a bit of a drive around on Monday and noticed that your rubbish was gone, this was just after lunch time. So Perhaps it was picked up Monday morning? We haven't yet signed with APS, so no signs for us either. Still waiting on finalised pricing which...

We have built previously as well and so far can only say positive things about APS. Also beware of project builders selli...
