Hi All, Hope you guys can help with advice. Recently had a turnkey house completed including landscaping by the builder as part of the package. I've been hesitant to walk on the back yard until the grass has established. It's been about 4 weeks since we.moved in and the grass has sprouted and grown ...

Hi, Contracted to build a house which was advertised as NBN ready, subject to any provisions in my estate, of which there are none. When performing the electrical diagrams, was informed that the data point has been removed from my house as the NBN is not available where I live. It's currently a few ...

Building with a small builder in Melbourne Victoria and have a situation, which I'd hope someone could help clarify. Upon initial enquiry in Feb 2016 with the sales team at the builders office, they advised us that since we have (by today's standards) a relatively large block of 650sq. m with a bloc...

HI There, Building a single story 25 square home with a smaller builder in the Melbourne area. Just wondering how long it usually takes from the start of the slab to the completion and hand over of the house. I have emailed one contact at the builder and asked this question a few times, yet the resp...

Hi, Building with a builder and at the point of selecting items for upgrades. One of the items we'd like to upgrade is the colour of the kitchen benchtops and Bathroom/Ensuite Vanity. The stone benchtops are included in our package and should be comprised of 3 slabs of 20mm stone. Since we're not ke...

Looking at doing a knock down and rebuild and wondering if anyone has moved split system air conditioners before. In theory I can cut the head out of the plaster and move these after the power is disconnected from the house, but it's the copper pipes which hold the gas and I believe would be fragile...

I've managed to get reviewed pricing from the original builder. $3760 per m. we add on to the width. Still expensive, but better than before.

Hi Whitefresh, Who are you building with? It appears the costing that I've been quoted is quite a bit out. I'm not sure if they expect some level of negotiation, or if it's purely because the sales guy worked on a $900 per sq. m costing which he obtained from the rest of the house. Given the garage ...

Hi we are doing exactly the same thing adding 2 m to the garage it cost us $5183 for the extension $409 for rear 2400mm wide roller door and $204 to extend the front door from 4800mm wide to 5200mm wide. Im not sure how much negotiation you will but there is no harm in trying. I think most builders...
