Hi everyone. Has anyone built the Metro 27? We have a narrow block and this looks to be the most attractive design to date. Cheers Hey [emoji5] I was looking at this house too. Did you end up building it!? Hi, no we didn’t end building this and went for the Huntley 30 :). Haven’t started build yet,...

Hi alisonandrew, may I ask how much you were quoted for the bifold kitchen windows, and are they aluminium? Took some time to find this sorry :/ Bifolds on kitchen were $3,955 Thank you! We just got quoted $4200 including the servery Caesarstone (20mm). I think we are pretty happy with the price. G...

Thanks alisonandrew, we have the same idea. Study at front but make it smaller for the bigger theatre room. We are getting a quote to extend the back family and alfresco, in turn a longer stacker door option. See how it goes. Have you finished building?

Thanks for your input! And funny how you looked at the Bronte 28 too. That was a lovely display home I agree. I think with the Huntley, we also thought maybe if we could extend the alfresco and family room 1.5m longer it would be more spacious. I thought the alfresco wasn't that big at the display h...

As per title, we are putting a serious consideration for this and comparing with the Clarendon tender that we already have, the Bronte 28. Obviously a different design, but we do like the living/theatre space separation at the front and large kitchen layout overlooking the alfresco. I'm keen to know...

Had our tender appointment with Clarendon last Friday. Few quick observations: Site costs were under the initial estimate. Awesome. They added a $5k provision for stronger slab and piering which we might need. CDC plans per "our" spec were as imagined so great to hear. Tender was as transp...

Looks good ajedi2k. What facade did you choose? And I take it as per pics that you didn't go for the rumpus room too. Nice progress though at least.

Hi Micdeez Yay, there aren't very many Bronte people on this forum. which stage are you up to ? where are you building? I'm in Strathfield. how much did it cost you to upgrade to glass splash-back. they asked for $4800 for extra glass to behind rangehood and where default WIP is, which i deleted. I...

Yes me too, we are choosing the Bronte. If we did do a glass splashback, we would have a view through the garage, so its not exactly appealing.

Well done guys with your negotiations and its great to hear about pushing the builder to get the best deal. As someone said, talk with your brain, not your heart. I'm in sales and BD so this is my bread and butter, I'm fortunate to be versed in this area. Nonetheless, its not an issue as there are s...

Thanks for sharing, Mojo. Are you getting quotes from other builders too? It may have been good leverage during the presentation to mention this. I know I will as I am genuinely seeking another quote from a builder who right now, has an overall better offering than Clarendon. Our tender appt is Feb ...

Bear in mind that double glazing, while great at keeping ambient heat out (or in), won't do much against direct western sun - tinting (and low-e glass) is definitely the way to go there, double-glazed or not (stuff like tinting and low-e can be used with double glazing too - a lot of people think o...
