Hello, Weird question, was not sure where to ask. I have googles, but my googling skills seem lacking. I want to know if I can purchase sheets of wood with the high gloss white finish you find on some of the ikea products (like the Ikea Kallax storage units). I am not a very good painter, so am not ...

We have a toaster, kettle, electric wok, Thermomix permanently on the bench, used every day, some times multiple times a day (some times it alternates between wok and thermomix, but other days both are used). We have moved into our new home, and we have appliances (for example, kettle) on the bench nextt o the stove. This has cupboards above it, and I am wondering what people do, if anything, to prevent the steam moisture under the overhead cupboards from the kettle and such? or is it really a non issue?
