Land registration is due around 15-25th July so pretty close :D But we need coral to get their act together and get our contracts ASAP as we need it for finance together with land registration.

So close !!!! Keep pushing coral :)
What size are you floor tiles in your bathrooms? I just read our contract and it says we cant choose tiles over 400x400 or they won't lay them and the tiles we want are 450x450! :(
I believe ours are 600x600 for main floor tiles and 400x400 in our bathrooms

We cant wait either! So you feel our pain!! Did your bank not let you guys go full unconditional until the land was registered?

We don't have fur babies yet but they are priority one when the house is built

Nah I don't think they did , it was stressful but all worked out :)

Ohh yes!! What kind of baby are you looking at getting

Can't wait for your build to start Ormeau ridge is such a beautiful place to live. I remember when we were waiting for our loan to go unconditional because of the land delays / registration sucks waiting for it! Do you and Nicole live close to Ormeau ? You'll be up here every night checking on your bit of lbs hehe!

Do you have any fur babies ? The park in our estate is awesome!

You're so close to us , only a few streets away!

With electrical , we put $1500 in our allowance in the contract and then went over by $1500. Clipsal is expensive but it's easy to get it done through them at the time. You can get cash jobs during the build. Like we had fans installed for $100 with supplying the fan. And we had our kitchen pendant lights installed for free.

We have downlights throughout the whole house for that much, except for 2 as we want big drop pendants when I eventually find ones I love. I also have several 2 way and 3 way switches in the house. Most all rooms have 2 double power points and the kitchen has 10 points I believe , so we didn't cut short at all.

Oh wow, you actually spent less that I was expecting! Must be the size of the house, we are building a Noosa 23 by the way forgot to answer that in the last post. That helps a bunch, we have also opted to do driveway and fencing privately as we saw the amount coral wanted to charge and our jaw dropped lol.

How did you find upgrades for the build itself did you find yourself spending a lot on upgrades and did you guys go Elegance or designer with your inclusions?

If all goes to plan it would be nice to meet the Homeone crew and introduce ourselves :P.

We were going elegance the whole way until the end when we signed our contracts. We decided it was a bit luxurious and not overly necessary. We would rather a bit left over to help us move in and buy new furniture. What did you go ? Designer or elegance

I think we spent more than we expected to with colours upgrades. Like everyone wants a waterfall shower head and soft close doors. Those kinds of things all add up but the upgrades were all very reasonable. Especially with mixer upgrades and small things like that.

Alex, have just spent ages reading through your entire thread and your house is honestly incredible. My partner and I just put down a deposit in that exact estate and based on the photos it looks like you are really close! I may pester you with some questions about Coral once we make some progress with finance....

Oh thank you! That's so exciting for you!! So you're going to build in Ormeau ride too? Which street will you be building in ? Haha go for it :) I love talking about house builds. Which design are you thinking ?

Good luck with all the finance stuff and congrats !!

We are super excited seems like there are a lot of couples similarly aged to us in the estate. We are building in Arrowsmith Crescent!!

My first question is with electrical how much did you guys do through clipsal and how much did you do privately? Seems like clipsal is stupidly expensive and buying your own stuff and paying the sparky to do extra is the way to go?

Hey everyone I feel like I haven't been on here in ages ! I feel like work / life has taken over doing things on the house.

But what can I show you , here is Stella haha she's 6 months old now!! So crazy! Her and Luna are such ladies now

We haven't done too much on the house to be honest but last weekend darren did put wire up and sting our climber to the fence. Can't wait for it to grow over and slowly cover the fence we will eventually think about ferry lights in the climber to really make it special

I'm still so indecisive about our master bedrooom theme. I did buy this beautiful new set from adairs and I feel like I'll keep it to this theme. I've got my eye on some beautiful prints for the room and I want to do a photo wall too

Our front garden has fully bloomed , can't believe how amazing it looks after 6 months of being in our beautiful house. Darren has since cut it all back for the winter.

I absolutely love our estate though. We had a family / street BBQ a few weeks ago. All 4 surrounding houses all gathered at the park near our street and caught up properly. We are pretty lucky to be surrounded by couples all around our age.

We get such beautiful sunsets / sunrises as well
