No underlay would eliminate the noise they definitely reduce them. I have laminate(10mm) flooring with Dunlop Acoustic premium underlay done by CarpetCall in Sydney. If noise is a concern go with carpet or try sound batts between the floors.

My site supervisor has told me that my house is due for completion in 6 weeks which is earlier than I expected. It could be an issue with the plug-in doorbell. I have noticed the doorbell go off during the day when I was standing at the door myself...coukd be a power surge. Dont over think its a common issue.

Hi Lolz, Not sure which area you are in. But I got released to construction last Friday. They have just finished laying the slab for me today, it could be that quick. If they continue at half this pace I will have my home by next june :) Hope that helps.
