Is your door bell running on main or battery?! There are door bells which are wired but on battery. Otherwise just any double adapter will be fine. It is without a battery, powered by 2 wires: http://s7.hostingkartinok.com/uploads/images/2015/04/73cb4bed15d340454fb11471fa446675.jpg

I'll certainly be checking that website before I do my next break and enter! Very handy if you're a criminal. These locks look great and attractive at first glance. More over it's a box solution for end users. I suppose they don't require professional mounters to install them. But burglar resistanc...

I'm not sure of what you are asking... What do you mean by power? Are you trying to use the same power circuit? Are you trying to start your wifi router from the doorbell? A single/double socket seems to imply you want to plug in? A door bell tends to be either wired in or run via battery... Your q...

What about these? Very interesting and compact solution. The app integration and opening after touch is impressive. But I found this: H1mmjVvMsGs

Hi everybody, I want to power my wi-fi router from the electric door bell. As I specified i need to do this via a switch socket. So my question is: I need a single or a double socket for this operation? Thanks.

Recently I faced with new locks advertisment from one of the manufacturers I listed below. Thay say that locks are based on a unique technology providing power transfer via a deadlock. I wonder what do you think about reliabiliy of such principle? I heared opinions that power transfer contacts of su...

After investigation about locks variants I now incline to the following variants: 1) Fail secure electromechanical lock (http://www.perco.com/products/electronic-locks/mortise-lock-lc85-3.php) + simple mechanical release key permanently left in a keyhole from the inner side for the case of power los...

I would opt for an electric striker. Thanks for the advice and opinion. I also opt for electric strikers. They offer wider options than just electromagnetic models and allow to save money at the UPS.

Hello! I plan to equip our metal door on the stair landing with a small access control system. The door is going to be opened by a button inside, and by using either code panel or anti-vandal proximity card reader outside. Dilemma is in choosing the door lock. What is better, electromechanical or el...
