Would anyone knows if you are allowed to have a flat surface roof instead of the usual timber truss and brick tiles for example? I live in the bankstown area of sydney and wish to know if there are building rstrictions on new roofs. I have seen smany houses with flat roofs but in the eastern suburbs...

would someome pls advise me which profession is responsible for building a new roof ? the roof is leaning to one side and have been advised that the whole roof timber needs to be replaced. Apparently the tiles can be removed and placed back on as im they are in a good shape and cost a lot to replace...
