Which Stroud? Presumably clients have different experiences with the different franchises.

Habiburg, am I right that you are also doing a knock down rebuild and in the Canterbury Bankstown area? I wouldn't be surprised if they would prefer to not do another like ours as there have been huge delays, errors and clashes along the way. I think not building in a new estate is hard for them to ...

Just discovered something else to annoy me. Our tender mentions tiles through main areas. We were directed to select tiles from their supplier at Girraween last February. Couldn't find anything concrete looking and were advised we could look at 450 x 450 tiles. Chose a charcoal tile which is ok. But...

We've found their fixed price ok. We had another huge expense due to demolition charges. And we'll need funds afterwards for more concreting, landscaping and blinds. We found we weren't advised of upgrade options which meant we kept going back after contract with requests for costings and variations...

Communication is so very important. Without it clients are left to assume things and fill the gaps which results in frustration and miscommunication. Certainly finding this to be lacking which is making our journey all the more disappointing. But apparently we're expecting too much and don't underst...

We're building in Sydney. Frame is up, bricks and windows delivered. There was an issue on the plan that needed to be adjusted after approval and everything went belly up from there. We should be in now. And now we have an unexpected bill for over $8000. Not handled well. Still hopeful though that w...

We threw them into a spin by requesting a change of plan upstairs back in April. It took till July to get that re-approved and since then we've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting...........latest is there should be chippies there next week starting to build. Please, please, please. And we've had...

Another 2 months have gone by and we're still waiting for a frame to be erected. Lots of wood sitting on the block in anticipation and teasing us. Frustrating experience so far.

We're building the Kirra 303, NDR. We've gone through a nightmare demolition - worst week of our lives - our slab is down and we're waiting on frames. We hit a frustrating delay of over 2 months trying to get a late change made to our plans but hopefully things will start to progress more smoothly o...

who did you end up building with, fingerscrossed? Well.....still in the admin stage so pulling out has put us about a year behind but we don't regret it. We've signed contracts with Stroud Homes who are a nice small builder and we're happier with the design too. Hopefully we can demo within the mon...

Basically they said the client is aware that the contract is not negotiable so too bad. Their arrogance resulted i...

Sandra, I'll have a look at that builder but a good chance they won't build in Canterbury Council.....many don't. Perhaps your land isn't long enough and they've cut space out of the front to fit. Our land is over 40 m long. Having said that a lot of their facades don't project further out the front...
