Thanks very much for the replies. This has become an issue only my TV wasn't fitting properly. It was requested as a variance through the tiling company and the builder quoted me accordingly, so all the relevant parties were involved. Yes, the size was also mentioned during that time. I thought fram...

Hi All We recently moved in our new house and due to the knowledge of fellow H1'ers we have built a very decent house, thanks to everyone on this forum. We have just submitted the 90 day maintenance list to the builder (Wi*dom Hom*s). The list mainly consists of patch works, except for 1 item where ...

Hi All, We received our keys on Wednesday. Apart of couple of paint touch ups there is no issues that we could see. All the issue that were identified during PCI are addressed and we are moving in tomorrow. One thing I've noticed is the switch plates are VERY flimsy. I would say its worth considerin...

Hi All, We had our PCI on Friday and most of the issues were related to paint patches. There were also issues like unfinished painting on couple of places, a broken heron block, wrong switch plate. Weather permitting the painting should be finished in the next 2 days. This appointment is on 29 Apr a...

Hi All, We have received our final invoice from WH and the PCI is this Friday followed by the keys mid next week. Double check any costs associated with landscaping. There was a few grand difference between my figures and theirs. Does anyone know if you get the appliances installed the very next day...

Thanks for all your replies. I will go with the solution of installing a retaining wall (preferably treated pine of ACQ grade) right next to the fence and fill in the gap with soil. Simbo, Thanks for your good solution but definitely money is an issue here. I will be looking into this once I've save...

Hi MT70, We went with grey for both wall (1 side) and the floor. The rest 2 and a bit sides are white and it turns out to be a very good combination. Please see the link. http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t356/Sydney_Boy/IMG_20150411_083113608_zpsuj4twcop.jpg

For our backyard we did the Heron block retaining wall (45m) and pine retaining wall (30m) through WH and it was expensive. Since there was a promotion of 5k from WH, we did the driveway which was poured last week and it looks good. For this we had to pay 4.5k on top. We have decided to do rest of t...

Hi am99, As Matt1 has stated he charges $595 and recommends 2 inspections, one after the frames and the next one closer to PCI. Yes, the brick looked so grey during the selection stage and the house turned out to be brown....having said that I totally love the way it looks and we are very glad that ...

Hello All, We are building our new house and the driveway was poured recently. Extreme is right on the money. We engaged HKRyan after the frames are done and he picked up few things which were happily rectified by WH. We would be engaging him again closer to PCI which is around 3 weeks from now.
