My house has a steel beam around it (as we are not the usual 'box' house; on which, the top level is smaller if compared to the ground floor (thus it comes with steel beam to hold upstairs). I am using Hubitat hub with a bunch of zigbee, wifi, and z-wave; for some weird reason, the z-wave devices ar...

Hi all, I live in the area where there are lots of gum leaves and gum nuts from the surrounding neighbourhoods; this has caused my grey water to be yellow-ish. After talking to a couple of people, they have suggested me to install gutter guards. I then received 2 quotes from the gutter guard install...

Hi, As part of the 6 star energy rating, my builder has installed 2000L slimline steel water tank; the water tank is going to all toilets. The idea is great to save water bills, but then it created yellow stains on my toilet bowl. I have tried to discharge all waters but the yellow water remains. I ...

Is there maximum number of downlights you can have for each junction box? So eventually I can only have 1xbatten light with junction box, and convert the light from this (1 normal light): http://content.screencast.com/users/trialme/folders/Jing/media/87153262-cac9-4b4b-93eb-c0d7888cc2fc/00000042.png...

So in conclusion there are 2 cost effective methods? 1. Install batten point (for each batten point == downlight LED location) Sparky will then replace the batten point and make downlight Downside: might be expensive, as we need to install batten point from builder, and replace them into downlight b...

I'm still confused with the purpose of junction box, is that the one that is installed inside ceiling of both floors? Also, if the sparky preference is to have batten point on where I want led downlight, does it mean I'll have lots of batten points (in which can be converted to downlight in the futu...

Hi, Currently building +/- 34SQ double storey home, the quoted amount of LED required by the builder are 71 lights. Each LED downlight quoted price is $149 (which means, in total, I need to pay $9685, just for the LED downlight) Do you think this is too pricey? Also, I spoke with one of sparky, he s...
