our kitchen installer told us to stay away from a mirrow splashback because we had a free standing gas oven/cooktop. Overtime the heat may damage the mirror apparently.

Hi Dunco, 100% Right there Dunco We just got an email from our builder to say that with the darker roof, we needed to upgrade the insulation in the roof to R2.5 ceiling insulation and enviroseal wrap to roof in lieu of Anitcon Roof insulation.
