Tool, I am so sorry to hear about your experience...where about are you building? Our builder took his time from Nov-June (slab & frame only) and then went on high gear July-Oct. He did miss the contract deadline though and had to pay us about 2 months worth of penalties...

Thanks Erin, its been pouring today and the neighbour's garage has flooded. He wanted us to come and have a look. We do emphatise & are willing to assist in anyway we can but certainly not copping the blame for what the builder did not do. Neighbour called council and they've told him the same. ...

Thanks Erin, Two councils reps came over at 3pm today to have a look and have advised that we aren't at fault and that it would be up to the neighbour to deal with the seepage problem as it appears that the builder did not take the necessary steps required for a sloping block. They went out to the b...

Thanks for your reply Erin, Our neighbour's builder did not put in a retaining wall. We don't have any issues from our neighbour on the left eventhough he sits on a higher block becaue we have a fence running between both properties which seems to block the waterflow. With the neighbour on the right...

Hi Mark, Friends of ours are currently contemplating buying land in Brookhaven Rise Estate but it seems that prices have skyrocketed since you posted. They're looking at payong about $200k for a 780sqm block. Its a gorgeous area with a terrific view as the block is at the highest point of Sunbury.

Thanks Rowena, Its good to be back...and for 5 weeks the house was hardly even dusty which was a double bonus. Can't say the same for our backyard, it looked like a meadow with all those yellow flowering weeds...hehe I told DH to leave it as it is cause it actually looks better than plain old dirt. ...
