Depending on if you are 100% sure on the design / builder or not, i would deposit sooner rather than later. That way you put yourself somewhat in the drivers seat regardign price, you can always see if they will move you to new promotion if one comes up, but you cant deposit later and ask to be put ...

I deposited for an affinity home in December. From what I can see the only things that are missing from then are 20 downlights, ducted vacuum, floor coverings, cooling (although you can add it now for $1999.)
