Yeah the pic is hard to work out. We had a few different meetings with builders - summit, redink, DA, gemmil, aveling, metro strata, Amano homes, ultimate homes I name a few. Someone else may be able to weigh in - but not sure if you will avoid the whole 'dealing with lots of ppl' thing?! Not sure. ...

We did looselay throughout our house. Love it. Easy to clean, doesn't really mark. Was laid using glue. So far so good!

You will self save money - and have more control over quality/range of selection if you pick floors etc yourself. Also u would look into whether the existing paving would need to be pulled up to lay services etc. A lot of builders would remove that paving before they even start. DA told us we had to...

Hmm goodluck! It depends on the area. Most blocks in my area have been battle axed - they seem to sell well. Two blocks on my street have gone up in the last few months and sold crazy quick. So I wouldn't think resale is an issue. Plus people will always be looking for property close to CBD. 50k - 1...

Hey. For some reason I can never PM from my phone. And joys of old area - the cables in the area all need to be replaced so we can't get internet for who knows how long. Our block had loads of 'packages'' advertised - we met with those builders but didn't go through them. You can pay to get you own ...

We did a similar thing and purchased a rear strata near freo. Love our house and we know we have a house that is probably already worth more than what we paid given sales in the area. You can look at my thread to see some of the joys and complexities of building rear strata. Without sounds negative ...

Ohh love all the thermie talk. Haha. All the stuff I have seen has had a healthy spin. I think it was a dietitian who helped being it over to aus initially. But you can make anything unhealthy if you try hard enough ;) Love the sound of the kitsch aid processor - think I would use that kinda thing m...

Think it really depends on what you want it for. I have been thinking about it for about 6 years... Haha. I like cooking and I like cooking from scratch. I am a dietitian so obviously I care about the quality of my food. So I may use it more as a food processor. But then I wonder if I would be bette...

Friends of ours building with them. Don't think they would recommend at this stage. Some pretty terrible things have happened during their build ie: slab totally wrong. There are threads on here about aveling. We looked at them and were impressed with the initial stages and inclusions.

We got redink to do our soak wells. Though they seriously underestimated. Didn't take into account our 140 odd square mt driveway and water runoff from that?! Haha. I didn't think the soak wells were too unreasonable, however they didn't do an awesome job and our were filled up with sand because the...

Well it was easier for us to paint first as no drop sheets required. There is the issue that floors can damage newly painted walls - but we didn't have any probs with our vinyl planks. Yeah the painting wasn't fun. But we saved heaps of money - and it was something we could do... We are not very han...
