I We have more issues with our builder but manly miscommunication issues and build management and the...

Engs. Just an update with my render. The builder thought that I wouldn't like the acrylic finish on the render so they went ahead with cement even though I requested acrylic. They offered to re coat the render with acrylic and was told that it will not make a difference on the susceptibility of the ...

Honestly, I don't mind whether it is smooth, rough, or swirly as long as it is uniform. My main concern is cracking. So does acrylic prevents cracking or its less prone to get cracks vs cement?

Hey oncewerefurriers. Thanks for the info. Yeah it's still grey no colour (as you would with cement) at all and also no rubbery feel to the lumps. I believe this just confirms my hunch that they mistakenly used cement instead of acrylic. :( What's the best action to fix this? Should I request to get...

Hi guys/gals. Just a quick noob question about rendering. Our builder has recently rendered part of our front facade. Now we requested acrylic render. However, when they where rendering they had a cement mixer and bags of cement. Now my question is when they use acrylic render, do they use regular c...

Hi, just got our plans back from the developer and they want us to increase our parapet height due to a low pitch roof (10 degrees minimum is 22.5 degrees). They want to increase the front parapet to 1m, which will make the front elevation look odd and out of balance. Is there a way around this? cou...

We're looking to get frameless internal stacker doors to close out a section/room. The opening is about 2.2m wide by 2.44m height. Does anyone have one of these or know the approx cost ? Any information would be greatly appreciated or point to the right direction.

Hi just wondering what's peoples opinion about a builder who's taking about a month (and counting) to come up with a tender. Should this ring alarm bells on what the future may be? They said that they have not got anything back from the surveyor and geo reports. Thanks
