hi everyone, does anyone know who I need to contact to hire out the bbq areas? thanks :) Hi cslfish, You can't hire out the bbq area. Actually I think the guidelines state you can't be in more than a group of 8 people. Regardless, I've seen people hold parties there.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'm not using a router at all as I tested the connection from the Opticomm box straight to my laptop. I called iiNet who advised me to download a file three times simultaneously from their site ftp://ftp.iinet.net.au/. The added speed of these files is supposed to ...

I have a feeling it's a problem with my hardware. I've been told by iiNet that my speeds should be at least 70Mpbs. I'll be troubleshooting the problem with them later today so i'll keep you posted on the results. It would be great if other residents could post their speeds, but other than that I'm ...

Do you mind telling me which provider you are with and would you recommend them? With Opticomm, do you have to sign up with one of their providers or could I still go with Telstra and just have ADSL+2? Thanks Hi Mark, I'm with iiNet. Check this page http://www.opticomm.net.au/index.php/communities/...

Hi Everyone, I'm curious, what kind of speeds are you getting on the Opticomm fibre network? If you have a moment could you please go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and post your provider and results? My speeds are pretty dismal.

Hey Cackling, nope no land line required. All you need do is call Opticomm once your builder has made the connection available to be connected and they will make you fill out a "Cable Entry Checklist". I suggest you do it as early as possible. I was on a waiting list for 2 months before I ...

Hi Cackling, Generally, the property on the higher ground gets the posts because retaining beams can be placed on that side. On a flat and even surface, it's really your choice. There are really no guidelines that determines their orientation so if you have no neighbours I guess it's first come firs...

Hi Cackling, sorry I couldn't reply earlier. From our experience we found that there were a lot more options to choose from when we sat down with Sandra at our colour selection meeting, then what was outlined in the handbook. Their selections are always changing so I hope it worked out for you. A co...

Hey Cackling, our build has been relatively pain free. I'm surprised how quick it's gone up but since the lock up it has slowed down a bit. We have had issues with Firstyle losing documents in the mail, so keep on top of any correspondence you have with them. They have friendly staff but you need to...
